NewsHistory view...... OlderServer Issues slow being fixed.2012-09-29 - For the last couple months we have been plagued with server issues, the worst being "site not responding" while surfing. Several larger sites as well as smaller ones have been transferred to another server, taking some of the impact off the server this site is on. Yes once in a while the server may be slow, but that happens to many servers. For the outages where the server seems completely offline this has been reduced greatly. Every 15 minutes cron jobs that perform many necessary site checks and updates may slow down the server, some of these cron jobs perform larger tasks that stop the server momentarily. This is usually very short but sometimes longer and that's what stops your surf. Using Firefox with the addon "Reload Every" set to reload every 15 minutes seems to resolve most of these issues. My host has made significant changes on the server to keep our surfing more reliable. It is getting better by the day. Thanks for your patience! Admin |
